GOT PTSD? VERY LIKELY IF YOU LIVE BY SFO!
SFO TAKES ON MORE AND MORE AIRLINES, UNTIL THEY BLAST AND FLY OVER US ALL ALL DAY & NIGHT!
MY OPEN LETTER TO SFO, BERT GANOUNG, CONGRESSWOMAN JACKIE SPEIER, COUNTY SUPERVISOR DAVE PINE, ETC!
Dear SFO, Bert Ganoung, etc:
It would certainly be the humane thing to do, if SFO would put in some ground noise barriers to help the nearby residents to have some peace and relative quiet. I have noticed that the airport carries on loud, unrestrained activity well into the night and early morning hours. That l find greatly disturbing, because I am not (and I am sure others are not) getting a required, healthful amount of sleep during the night. Sleep deprivation is an effective method for getting POWs to give up information, but it is not positive for the general community, which must go about their lives during the daytime hours. People with sleep deprivation can cause accidents, become depressed and cause a multitude of health issues such a high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes, and much more. Children cannot grow normally, or function at any kind of even average level of ability. And, as residents of a more expensive community; we pay property taxes in the tens of thousands, and we deserve better for that kind of money. I cannot imagine any entity purposely wanting to cause such serious damage to neighboring residents, when there are remedies and compromises to be found. As you know, there are ground noise equipment measures that can be implemented, and changes in activities at the airport, that could greatly enhance the quality of living for the people in the neighborhood. If there are no compromises and agreements in life, at least one side suffers, and there is no room for any kind of good feelings at all. Right now, the noise is full force aimed at Millbrae, with no attempt at all to muffle the sound, or aim it away. There should be sound barriers. It is only the decent thing to do. I would appreciate your honest help. Otherwise, we will have to find other means of finding relief, such as taking our story to the media, the People, and to the airlines themselves, to let them understand the hardship the airport they use, is allowing to fall on human beings. I think they would respond to a plea to their sense of decency, and humanity; even if SFO does not seem to find it for us themselves. Thank you.
