Millbrae Gas Station Target Of Knifepoint Hold-Up

Sheriff's officials are asking for help finding the man responsible for the crime.

MILLBRAE, CA — San Mateo County sheriff's deputies are seeking a suspect who robbed a gas station in Millbrae at knifepoint earlier this week. According to the agency, it happened around 9 p.m. Monday at the 76 gas station at 5 El Camino Real.

"The suspect approached the cashier armed with a knife, and told the clerk to open the cash register and do not call law enforcement," the sheriff's office said in a news release. "In fear, the cashier opened the register and the suspect removed cash."

Following the incident, someone flagged down sheriff's deputies to report what had just happened, the law enforcement agency said.
