Man Arrested After Police Chase From Marin To San Francisco
A suspected car thief and wanted parolee was arrested Thursday after leading Marin authorities on a police pursuit.

MILL VALLEY, CA – A suspected car thief and wanted parolee was arrested Thursday after leading Marin authorities on a high-speed chase Thursday evening from Mill Valley to San Francisco, police said.
Mill Valley police were dispatched to a report of a stolen vehicle at 5:53 p.m. in the 400 Block of Magee. The suspect fled the area and traveled toward downtown Mill Valley, police said.
Within minutes, police spotted the vehicle in the area of Throckmorton Avenue and Miller Avenue. The suspect failed to stop and a pursuit ensued, police said.

The police chase went from south on Miller Avenue, onto Shoreline Highway, then onto southbound Highway 101 and over the Golden Gate Bridge. The Marin County Sheriff's Office and California Highway Patrol assisted in the pursuit. The suspect was taken into custody in San Francisco after attempting to flee on foot, police said.
Robert Koichi Maynard, 33, of Oakland, was arrested on suspicion of being a parolee at large with a warrant for his arrest, possessing a stolen vehicle and felony evading. He was booked into Marin County Jail. Further charges against Maynard will be reviewed by the Marin District Attorney's office.
