1 Hospitalized In Mill Valley Weekend Crash

Breaking: Police say a vehicle went over a 20-foot embankment and stopped upside down on another road.

MILL VALLEY, CA -- One person suffered major injuries in a rollover crash over the weekend in Mill Valley, police and fire officials said.

Police responded at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday to Millside Lane where a vehicle went over a 20-foot embankment and stopped upside down on another road, police Sgt. Paul Wrapp said.

The person had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to Marin General Hospital.

"It was a tragic accident," Wrapp said.

The crash involved only one person and one vehicle.

Police temporarily closed the 300 block of Marion Avenue Saturday morning to conduct an investigation into the collision.
