$12K Reward Offered For Details In Fatal Hit-And-Run In Marin

MARIN COUNTY, CA – The family of a woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in Marin County is offering a $12,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case, according to the California Highway Patrol's Marin Area Office.

Marie Siegenthaler, 29, was killed in a hit-and-run crash around 10 p.m. March 26 on southbound Highway 101, just north of Tiburon Boulevard, according to the CHP.

"Through the CHP investigation it was determined that the vehicle that initially struck Marie's motorcycle, causing her to be ejected into the roadway, subsequently fled the scene and has not been located," CHP Officer Andrew Barclay said.

Evidence from the scene points to a 1999-2002 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck or a 2000-2006 Chevrolet Tahoe, Barclay said. The vehicle will have sustained moderate to major front-end damage to the right side of the vehicle. In addition, the vehicle's turn signal light and daytime running light/parking light lens will have been shattered along with part of the right-front fender. Officials do not know the color of the vehicle.
