2 Arrested On Multiple Charges After Mill Valley Robbery Scare

Demetrious Lamont Hayden and Albert Frank Sullivan, Jr., were arrested on suspicion of burglary and making/passing fictitious checks.

MILL VALLEY, CA – Police arrested two men on suspicion of multiple charges after a report of a robbery at a Wells Fargo bank Tuesday in Mill Valley.

Although initially reported as a bank robbery, after further investigation, police determined that the two suspects attempted to pass fraudulent checks, officials said Wednesday. One of the bank tellers notified another employee, via a note, to call the police. The call to 911 came in as a bank robbery in progress.

The potential robbery was reported at about 2:15 p.m. at the Wells Fargo at 18 Miller Ave., according to police.

Police arrested one of the suspects at the bank, officials said. Old Mill School on Throckmorton Avenue was briefly placed on lockdown while police searched for the second suspect, who had fled the scene. He was found and arrested at Old Mill Park.

Demetrious Lamont Hayden, of Richmond, and Albert Frank Sullivan, Jr., of Sacramento, were arrested and booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of burglary, making/passing fictitious checks, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
