IndiAna Seerley Gowland, a senior at Macalester College will be heading to Memphis, Tennessee in June. Teach for America has chosen her to teach ESL (English as a Second Language) in kindergarten through 12th grade. She will earn a credential while joining many other graduating seniors in educating our youth in schools that have difficulty attracting and retaining teachers.
IndiAna has enjoyed volunteering for a literacy project all four years while studying at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. This year she is Co-Captain of the Mac Mock Trial Team (which came in seventh at Nationals last year). As a sophomore, she was invited into the All-American Mock Trial Team as an attorney.
