The Cantina Restaurant in Mill Valley Now Open For Lunch

The Cantina restaurant in Mill Valley, a popular eating establishment which reopened its doors in early October of 2010, has announced that brisk business and the demand for traditional Mexican cuisine has prompted the restaurant to extend its hours to include lunch service every day.  Beginning Monday, March 21, in addition to its existing lunch business on the weekends, the restaurant will be open for lunch from 11:30am to 4pm, and will offer a variety of lunch specials including soup, salad and sandwich combinations (ranging from $7.95 to $9.95,) special salads and several dinner favorites, but in lunch portions and prices. “Many of our customers have asked us if we are going to open for lunch,” said Cantina General Manager Joe Collins. “Because of the great response since we opened, we decided to offer lunch Monday through Friday to give customers the opportunity to take advantage of our outdoor seating areas which have already become a big hit.”

The Monday to Friday lunch service will enable patrons to take full advantage of The Cantina’s comfortable outdoor seating areas in both the front and side patios.  With ample outdoor dining a rare commodity for southern Marin, lunch at The Cantina will provide a welcome break outdoors and a great way to relax and enjoy a delicious and affordable lunch.  The Cantina has attracted a loyal customer base that enjoys the restaurant’s traditional Mexican fare and attractive ambience featuring two cozy fireplaces, comfortable booths and tables and a new outdoor fire pit surrounded by cushioned circular seating.

The Cantina also offers an enjoyable and affordable daily Happy Hour, Monday through Friday, 4pm to 7pm, with $3 off all appetizers, $5 Margaritas, $3.50 House wines, and $3 and $5 draft beers. Dinners are served daily, 4pm to 9pm Monday through Thursday; 4pm to 10pm Fridays, Saturdays; Sunday brunch is served 11am – 3pm with dinner served until 9pm.

The Cantina Mill Valley originated over twenty-five years ago and expanded to include restaurants in three states. In 2007, The Cantina was sold and turned into Maria Maria, which subsequently closed in April of 2010. After extensive renovations, The Cantina reopened under its original owner and was warmly welcomed back by the community.
