Car Crashes Down Embankment Near Alpine Dam In Marin County

BOLINAS, CA – A car crashed down an embankment Tuesday near Alpine Dam in Marin County. The accident happened off Bolinas Road in Bolinas, according to the Ross Valley Fire Department.

The car crashed 50 to 100 feet down the embankment, according to the California Highway Patrol's incident logs. The accident was first reported around 3:50 p.m.

Ross Valley and Marin County fire departments, as well as a CHP helicopter were at the scene. First responders were working to rescue the driver, Ross Valley spokeswoman JoAnne Lewis said on social media.

"You may see emergency apparatus and may hear the helicopter during the patient extrication," she said.
