Crews Quickly Stop Brush Fire In Mill Valley
The blaze, called the Fern Fire, sparked at the top of Fernwood Canyon, according to the Marin County Fire Department.

MILL VALLEY, CA — Firefighters quickly stopped the spread of a brush fire Tuesday evening in Mill Valley.
The blaze, called the Fern Fire, sparked at the top of Fernwood Canyon, according to the Marin County Fire Department. The fire spread one to two acres before crews stopped forward progress of the flames.
The fire was visible from Highway 101.

The blaze broke out hours before Pacific Gas and Electric Company plans to shut off power to nearly 10,000 households in Marin, including more than 4,000 in Mill Valley, in an effort to avoid sparking a wildfire during extreme weather and fire conditions.
