CARIOCA (Ronaldo Leite de Freitas) was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1955. At the tender age of 7, Carioca began his musical career. He embarked on a musical education traveling through many different genres of music to arrive at his current level of musical mastery on guitar, piano and percussion. At 24, Carioca released his first album Misterios da Amazonia. He then began teaching, touring, arranging (over 30 independent LPs), and composing scores and soundtracks for theatre, dance and cinema. Since 2000, Carioca has been performing throughout the world and leading workshops in France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany, Canada, the United States and Israel.
