Teacher Arrested For Illegal Relationship With Student In Marin County: Police
The teacher has been suspended since April after school administrators reported a possible inappropriate relationship, police said.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — A San Rafael High School teacher was arrested Wednesday on charges related to an illegal and inappropriate relationship with a student, the San Rafael Police Department said.
Kevin Eric Allen, 35, was taken into custody at his San Rafael residence and booked into Marin County Jail on charges of arranging to meet a minor for sexual intent, annoying or molesting a minor under 18 and violating the terms of an existing Marin County probation order, police said.
The investigation began April 14, when school administrators notified police they had learned of a possible illegal relationship between a teacher and a minor. Allen was immediately suspended and the school launched an internal investigation in cooperation with police, police said.

Detectives said they interviewed the victim and witnesses and executed search warrants to review communications between Allen and the minor. Based on the evidence gathered, investigators said they determined that an illegal and inappropriate relationship had occurred.
Due to the victim's age, police said they are not releasing identifying information about the minor. Additional support and resources are being made available to the victim and their family.
