High School Evacuated In Marin County Following Reported Threat: Police

The school said they received a voicemail indicating a possible threat towards the campus, police said.

LARKSPUR, CA — Staff at a high school in Marin County said they received a voicemail Friday morning stating there was a possible threat to the campus forcing the closure.

At around 8 a.m. this morning, Central Marin Police Department officers said Redwood High School staff received a voicemail from an unknown caller stating they were driving to the school with a gun and a bomb.

District staff contacted the CMPD and, out of an abundance of caution for the students and staff, the decision was made to cancel school and close the campus, police said.

"All students are being sent home at this time. Please do not come to the school and avoid the area for the time being," police said.

Police said they searched the campus, determined there was no threat to the safety of the students or staff.
