Learn How To Save Your Home During Marin Fire Preparedness Class
The free class is slated Sept. 9 at the Mill Valley Community Center. Additional classes are scheduled in September and October.

MILL VALLEY, CA – Are you prepared for a fire? Get prepared during a free class on Sept. 9 for Marin County residents.
Hosted by the Mill Valley Fire Department, the two-hour class will cover why Marin is at risk for a catastrophic fire and how community members can be prepared.
Attendees will learn how to create landscaping that complies with local fire department defensible space regulations. The class will also cover how to make homes more fire resistant and how to be ready to evacuate if needed.

The class is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9 at the Mill Valley Community Center located at 180 Camino Alto. Additional classes are planned from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 1 in Ross and from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 27 in Point Reyes.
