Marin Fire Preparedness Class Could Save Your Home And Your Life

The free two-hour class is scheduled for Sept. 10 at the Seminary at Strawberry in Mill Valley.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Are you prepared for a fire? Get prepared during an upcoming class for Marin residents.

Hosted by the Mill Valley Fire Department and Southern Marin Fire District, the free, two-hour class will cover why Marin is at risk for a catastrophic fire and how community members can be prepared.

Attendees will learn how to create landscaping that complies with local fire department defensible space regulations. The class will also cover how to make homes more fire resistant and how to be ready to evacuate if needed.

The class is scheduled for 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10 at the Seminary at Strawberry, located at 201 Seminary Drive in Mill Valley.
