Businesses on the move in Marin, Sonoma, Napa and Mendocino counties: Sept. 3 report (pressdemocrat.com) — A 2,746-square-foot office building at 170 East Blithedale Avenue in Mill Valley has been sold to Smith & Co., marking a notable commercial deal along one of the town's key corridors. The broader report also tracks recent leases and sales across Marin, Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino counties, signaling ongoing North Bay business activity.

From Anime Soundtracks to Strawberry Hill Studios: Raj Ramayya's Journey (marinmagazine.com) — A music project first brought composer and singer Raj Ramayya to Mill Valley, where he fell for Marin and later launched Strawberry Hill Studio to teach local high school students music production and voice acting for free. The guide also highlights other Bay Area film festivals and specialty screenings this fall, from San Jose to Berkeley and San Francisco, for movie lovers willing to travel a bit beyond Marin.

Jeon Do Yeon, Sul Kyung Gu, Zo In Sung, And Cho Yeo Jeong's "Possible Love" Unveils New Poster + Director To Receive Award (soompi.com) — Mill Valley's own film festival will honor Korean director Lee Chang-dong with its Auteur Award as his new film "Possible Love" screens in the festival's Spotlight program. The movie, about two intertwined married couples, is also building global buzz with invitations to Venice, Toronto, New York, and other major festivals before its theatrical and Netflix releases this fall.
   

5. Parole revoked for infamous Marin convict Wade (marinij.com) — Mill Valley readers may recall Max Wade's 2012 drive-by shooting here, one of several crimes now keeping him behind bars after a parole board revoked his earlier grant of release. Commissioners cited a 2025 cellphone violation at San Quentin and concerns about public safety, despite Wade's education, program participation, and arguments from his attorney about alleged officer misconduct.
