Rideshare Driver Reportedly Sexually Assaulted In Mill Valley

The driver reported she was sexually assaulted by a male passenger, police said.

MILL VALLEY, CA – A rideshare driver was reportedly sexually assaulted by her passenger in Mill Valley, authorities said Wednesday.

The Mill Valley Police Department received a report of a misdemeanor sexual battery last Saturday. Police said the victim, who works for a ride share company, reported that she was assaulted by a male passenger she picked up in the 300 block of Miller Avenue in Mill Valley.

The victim provided information about the possible suspect, and police conducted an investigation over the weekend. The incident remains under investigation by the Mill Valley Police Investigations Unit.

"The Mill Valley Police Department takes these cases very seriously and respects the privacy of all involved parties while under investigation," police said in a statement.
