Teen Taken To Hospital In Critical Condition During Race In Marin
A CHP helicopter responded to Stinson Beach in Marin County and transported the girl to the hospital.

UPDATE:
MARIN COUNTY, CA – A teenage girl who was taken by a California Highway Patrol helicopter to a hospital during the Dipsea Race Sunday in Marin County has been released, race spokesman David Albee said.
The 16-year-old was reportedly in critical condition at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. Albee said Monday morning that the girl's father told him she had been released Sunday.

It was the 108th Dipsea race. The 7.4-mile race goes from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach.
In a separate incident, the CHP on Sunday also airlifted a man who had a cardiac emergency on Angel Island.

The 79-year-old was also taken to John Muir Medical Center. There has been no update on his condition.
MARIN COUNTY, CA – A teenage girl was taken to the hospital in critical condition during the Dipsea Race near Stinson Beach Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
A CHP helicopter responded to the beach in Marin County and transported the 16-year-old girl, who was having a medical emergency, to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
A 79-year-old man later had a cardiac emergency on Angel Island. He was also taken to John Muir Medical Center.
Both patients were in critical condition and were being treated at the hospital when crews departed the helo pad. There were no updates on their conditions.
