Traffic Alert: Eldridge Grade Fire Road Temporarily Closed

The road, located on Mount Tamalpais watershed lands, sustained damage from a landslide last winter.

MARIN COUNTY, CA – Eldridge Grade Fire Road is temporarily closed due to repairs, the Marin Municipal Water district announced.

The road, located on Mount Tamalpais watershed lands south of the Bon Tempe Treatment Plant, sustained damage from a landslide during winter's storms. MMWD is working to stabilize the 30-inch Southern Marin Line Transmission pipeline under the road and restore the road to its pre-slide width.

The project entails removing and disposing of landslide debris, as well as installing a soil nail wall, according to MMWD.
