4 Suspected Car Thieves Arrested

Milpitas police detectives spotted the stolen vehicle which was tailed to Mountain View.

MILPITAS, CA — Milpitas Police arrested four suspected car thieves last week. Two are Milpitas residents, while the other two are transients out of San Jose.

On March 27, detectives found a stolen 2009 Nissan Murano SUV driving around a shopping center on Ranch Drive. The vehicle had just been stolen from San Jose six days earlier.

Police followed the vehicle to the area of El Camino Real and San Antonio Road in Mountain View where Milpitas and Mountain View Police officers tried to stop the SUV. It sped away and was later found abandoned after it crashed into a pole and a fence on San Antonio Circle. Property stolen during a previous burglary in San Jose and drug paraphernalia were found in the vehicle.
