6 Milpitas Residents Involved In Armed Robbery, Theft From Local Safeway: Police
The individuals allegedly swiped booze and sandwiches, with one flashing a knife when questioned by a market employee.

Six Milpitas residents were arrested in connection with an armed robbery and theft slightly more than a week ago at a local Safeway, according to police.
Officers were called at 6:41 a.m. on Jan. 24 to the supermarket at 555 E. Calaveras Blvd. after a report of several individuals leaving the store with shoplifted beer, alcohol and sandwiches, said the Milpitas Police Department.
Police said that when a Safeway employee asked one of the suspects if he was going to pay for the items, the worker said the shopper removed a knife from his waistband and brandished it at the employee before leaving the store.
