Burglary Suspect Sought In Milpitas: PHOTOS
The man appears on video images holding a bakery box -- before allegedly smashing in the back door.
Police have released photos of a man who broke into a Milpitas home on Tuesday morning and stole cash and jewelry.
Around 11 a.m. Tuesday, a suspect holding a pink bakery box knocked on the front door of a home on Paseo Refugio near Santa Rita Drive, police Sgt. Jared Hernandez said. When no one answered the door, the suspect went to the home’s backyard and attempted to open a sliding glass door, Hernandez said.
The suspect then used a rock to shatter the door open and entered the home, where he stole cash and jewelry, according to Hernandez. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 21 and 30 years old and 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall with a medium build and short black hair, the sergeant said. He wore a light blue long-sleeve shirt with a light-colored name tag on the front, light blue jeans and white with black shoes, Hernandez said.
