Police wish to speak with regarding a car burglary and stolen credit cards in the region.

SANTA CLARA, CA -Police released video surveillance footage Wednesday of a male suspect wanted for burglarizing a car of credit cards used for fraudulent purchases last month in Santa Clara.

The burglary happened between 9:35 a.m. and 10:20 a.m. on Jan. 18, police said. The suspect took the victim’s credit cards and made fraudulent purchases at multiple places, according to police.

The video released by police depicts the suspect making one of the transactions, police said.

The footage can be viewed online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYmyxUs70wQ. The video shows the male suspect outside a store in a black hat with a white Nike logo and black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call police Detective Luke Erickson at (408) 615-4829 and refer to case number 16-627 or tip line at (408) 241-9495.
