Grass Fire Above Milpitas Contained At 51 Acres
Cal Fire battled the blaze near Ed Levin Park.

MILPITAS, CA — Fire crews put out a grass fire east of Milpitas near Ed R. Levin County Park.
The fire was reported at 11:11 a.m. on Weller Road north of Calaveras Road.
Cal Fire reports that the fire burned 51 acres and is 100 percent contained.

Cal Fire used two air tankers, two helicopters, six engines and two bulldozers on the blaze.
There is no word yet on a possible cause for the fire.
