Homeowner Spots Man In Backyard

The suspect was arrested by Milpitas Police.

MILPITAS, CA — A man was arrested early Saturday morning after he was allegedly seen sitting on patio furniture in the backyard of a Milpitas home, police said.

Zachary James Bowin, 29, a transient from Oakland, was reportedly seen around 2:42 a.m. on Folsom Circle, off of North Milpitas Boulevard.

Police found him leaving the side gate of the home and arrested him without incident. According to Milpitas Police Sgt. Matthew Miller, "He was arrested for prowling and booked into the Santa Clara County main jail under the name he originally provided to officers. After he was fingerprinted at the jail, his true identity was revealed as Zachary Bowin."
