Man Arrested For Sideshow Antics At Milpitas Square
A large crowd gathered to watch the illegal car maneuvers Wednesday night in the shopping center parking lot.

An 18-year-old Oakland man was arrested during an alleged sideshow attended by hundreds of people in Milpitas on Wednesday night, police said today.
The man, whose name has not been released by police, was part of a large crowd gathered around 9 p.m. Wednesday at Milpitas Square, a shopping center on Barber Lane, police Sgt. Frank Morales said. The center is located near the interchange between Interstate Highway 880 and state Highway 237.
Police responded to the scene, where the gathering turned into a sideshow with people driving their cars in donuts in the center’s parking lot, Morales said. Officers stopped the 18-year-old man and arrested him, but Morales did not yet know what he was arrested for.
