Man Gunned Down at Santa Clara House Party Recently Moved to Bay Area from Mexico
Mario Hernandez lived in the Bay Area for two months after moving from Mexico and does not have a criminal history.

A 22-year-old man fatally shot during a party in Santa Clara over the weekend was identified today as Mario Hernandez, a police spokesman said.

On Sunday shortly before 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2500 block of Glade Drive, Clarke said.

The block is just north of Monroe Street and Adrian Wilcox High School. Arriving officers learned of a party at a home and found the victim, later identified as Hernandez, shot in the backyard, according to police. T
he officers performed CPR on Hernandez but were unable to revive him, police said.
