Meals-on-Wheels Truck Carjacked in Downtown Fremont

FREMONT, CA - Fremont police pursued a carjacked Meals on Wheels truck to a highway on-ramp in Castro Valley this morning where the truck overturned, blocking traffic, Fremont police said.

One of the suspects was reportedly bitten by a K9.

Fremont police first received reports of the carjacking in downtown Fremont at 10:18 a.m.

Officers found the truck and chased the driver through Union City and Hayward until the truck flipped on the Redwood Road on-ramp to Interstate Highway 580 in Castro Valley, police said.

Two suspects, a male and female, were arrested at the crash scene.
