Milpitas Police Arrest 2 Santa Cruz Men In Alleged Stolen Car
Two men from Santa Cruz were arrested in Milpitas on Monday after they were pulled over in an alleged stolen vehicle, police said.

MILPITAS - Two men were arrested in Milpitas on Monday after they were pulled over in a stolen vehicle, police said.
Matthew Joshua Gordon, 40, of Santa Cruz, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Walter Theron Carr, 48, of Santa Cruz, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Officers with the Milpitas Police Department on Monday at 10:30 p.m. were in the area of the 1200 block of East Valaveras Boulevard when they located a green 1993 Toyota pickup truck stopped at a red light.

Officers checked the license plate and learned the plate was reported stolen out of Solano County, police said. Officers later discovered the vehicle was reported stolen out of Pleasant Hill.
Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and arrested the driver and passenger, identified as Gordon and Carr, without incident.
During a search of the vehicle, officers located 2.5 grams of methamphetamine, eight narcotic smoking pipes and two shaved vehicle keys.
Police said Gordon and Carr displayed symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
