Milpitas Police Arrest Man With 10 oz. of Meth, Other Drugs

Police say they seized the drugs during a traffic stop. Hoanglam Duc Bui is facing multiple charges.

MILPITAS, CA — A San Jose man was arrested in Milpitas Thursday night after allegedly being found in possession of an illegal substance, according to police.

Police said an officer stopped a truck on southbound Interstate Highway 880 near West Calaveras Boulevard shortly before 10:30 p.m. for a traffic violation.

During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered a small amount of suspected cocaine and marijuana, around 10 oz. of suspected methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia.

The driver, 29-year-old Hoanglam Duc Bui, was arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license.

Bui was booked into the Santa Clara County jail.
