Milpitas Police Arrest Motel Worker on Suspicion of Sexual Battery

The suspect worked at the Executive Inn on Dempsey Road.Police have viewed surveillance video of the alleged incident.

A San Jose man was arrested Friday in connection with a sexual assault at a Milpitas hotel where he worked.

Modi Kantilal Paresh, 48, was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery, police said.

Officers responded Friday at 4:41 a.m. to the Executive Inn at 95 Dempsey Road on a report a 37-year-old woman was groped by an employee, police said. The victim said the suspect, identified as Paresh, groped her as she was checking in to the motel, police said.

Paresh denied touching her, refunded her money, and she and he boyfriend left the motel.

Officers later talked with the owner of the motel and viewed video surveillance from the lobby that showed Paresh allegedly groping the victim, police said.

Paresh was later arrested when he returned to the motel to pick up his paycheck.
