Milpitas Traffic Stop Results in Meth Arrests

One of the suspects lives in Milpitas while the other is from San Jose.

MILPITAS, CA — Two men were arrested last week in Milpitas following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of methamphetamine in their vehicle, police said.

Robert Davalle Briston, 30, of Milpitas, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Santa Clara County and on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of marijuana, possession of drug
paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of probation.

Leo Deandre Lawrence, 36, of San Jose, was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a burglary tool, being under the influence of a controlled substance and violation of probation.
Officers with the Milpitas Police Department on July 22 at 12:54 a.m. stopped a car on South Main Street for a traffic violation, police said.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers found approximately 9.2 grams of methamphetamine, four ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a burglary tool. Police said both suspects appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
