Pizza My Heart to donate 30 percent of purchase sales to a fund for Bryan Stow, a paramedic once based out of Milpitas, who works in the county through American Medical Response.

Fundraisers for Bryan Stow, the Giants fan severely beaten are under way, as he is in intensive care at a hospital in Southern California.

Stow, 42, a paramedic for American Medical Response-Santa Clara County, had worked out of one of the Milpitas fire stations in the past, according to Daniel Franklin, operations manager for AMR in Santa Clara County.

A co-worker said he was stationed at the for two or three years.

Pizza My Heart is a place place for paramedics on the go, including Stow. He would drop by the downtown San Jose location about once a week, said Kimbra Sledd, general manager.

Today's fundraiser will go on all day Tuesday at all 19 Pizza My Heart locations, with 30 percent of the purchase price to be donated to a fund for Stow. Customers should reference Stow's name when they order.

"Everyone in here is going to know what's going on," said owner Chuck Hammers of the news trucks. "It's going to be a big check."

Hammers said it was a natural decision, not just because he also attended the season opener at Dodgers Stadium last Thursday.

"The first-response people, the ambulance guys, have been really big consumers with us," he said. They get a standing discount, he said.

Nine times of out 10, as soon as they grab their slice, they have to race off, he said, so we work with them.

"These guys are out helping people, so how can you not help Bryan when it's his time of needing help," said Hammers.

A BBQ fundraiser will also take place at Fire Station 34 in San Jose on Wednesday. The event is sponsored by AMR-Santa Clara County, whose offices are next door.

AMR corporate donated $5,000 as part of the reward leading to the arrest of two male suspects (see sketches above) who severely beat Stow outside of the Dodger Stadium Thursday.

The reward is now $100,000, according to the Los Angeles Times after the Los Angeles City Council offered $50,000 with contributions from the Giants at $10,000, Dodgers at $25,000, and an L.A. County supervisor at $25,000.
