San Jose Grass Fire Prompts Sig-Alert On State Route 87

SAN JOSE, CA — Firefighters have extinguished a grass fire in San Jose Monday afternoon. The California Highway Patrol temporarily issued a Sig-alert for northbound State Route 87 at Curtner Avenue while fire trucks use the lanes to battle the fire. The blaze was reported just after 2 p.m. in the area of Carol Drive, according to the CHP.

The California Highway Patrol has not yet been reached for comment. No other information is available.
