Police arrested a Stockton man early Friday morning in Milpitas after allegedly finding the suspect sitting in a stolen vehicle. Milpitas police patrolling the parking lot of a motel in the 200 block South Abbott Avenue saw a red Toyota Corolla and checked its plates around 3:30 a.m. Friday. The car had been reported stolen out of San Jose, and 20-year-old Delwing Antonio Hernandez was seated inside, according to police. Hernandez was already on probation for a previous incident involving a stolen car, according to police. He was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and violating the terms of his probation. Investigators are asking anyone with additional information about the case to contact the Milpitas Police Department at (408) 586-2400.
