Transient Shot to Death in Milpitas
The homicide happened in Sunnyhills. Police have not made an arrest. (Breaking)

MILPITAS, CA — A 47-year-old transient found shot near a shopping center in Milpitas died at a hospital early this morning, a police spokesman said.
The victim, who hasn't been identified, was found shortly before 4 a.m. in the 100 block of Dixon Road east of North Milpitas Boulevard near the Sunnyhills Shopping Center, police Sgt. Raj Maharaj said.
Officers responded to the scene on a report of gunshots fired and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound, Maharaj said.

Emergency crews transported the man to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, according to Maharaj.
Investigators haven't identified a suspect in connection with the death, which has been ruled a homicide, Maharaj said.
