Free Gardening Workshops In South OC: What To Know

The workshops are held by Orange County Public Libraries and takes place through August and September.

LAGUNA WOODS, CA — Are you wanting to learn how to tend a garden of your own?

Orange County Public Libraries is hosting a slew of public gardening workshops across the area, including in south Orange County. According to OC Public Libraries, each workshop will have its own theme — from "Cool Season Veggies" to "Wildflower Seed Bombs."

The workshop is free for residents to attend and supplies will be provided, library officials said.

Residents interested in attending the workshop were not asked to RSVP, but urged to arrive to the workshop early as space is limited.

  • Aug. 25 — La Habra Library: "Cool Season Veggies" at noon, 221 E La Habra Blvd., La Habra.
  • Sept. 10 — Laguna Woods Library: "Herb Gardening" at 10 a.m., 24266 El Toro Rd., Laguna Woods.
  • Sept. 23 — La Habra Library: "Bees & Other Pollinators" at 5 p.m., 221 E La Habra Blvd., La Habra.
  • Sept. 4 — San Clemente Library: "Wildflower Seed Bombs" at 10:30 a.m., 242 Avenida Del Mar, San Clemente.
  • Sept. 14 — Laguna Beach Library: "Salad Bowl Garden" at 11 a.m., 363 Glenneyre St., Laguna Beach.
  • Sept. 7 — Rancho Santa Margarita Library: "Thoughtful Gardener" at 2 p.m., 30902 La Promesa, Rancho Santa Margarita.
  • Sept. 14 — Cypress Library: "Grow a Pizza Garden" at 3 p.m., 5331 Orange Ave., Cypress.
