Green Light Project On Alicia Parkway OK'd By City
The project is designed to match traffic signal green lights at successive intersections to help mitigate stalled traffic in Mission Viejo.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — The Mission Viejo City Council voted to apply Orange County Transportation Authority grant funds for an Alicia Parkway traffic signal synchronization project during Tuesday's meeting.
According to the city, the project will engineer traffic lights along Alicia Parkway to increase the amount of matching traffic signal green lights at successive intersections.
The idea, the city said, is to maximize the number of motorists along a corridor and allow for "minimal stopping, which helps reduce travel times."
