Kids Fun Run, Health Fair Underway In Mission Viejo
Residents were encouraged to register early for the Oso Fit 5K Fun Run to take advantage of a discounted fee.
MISSION VIEJO, CA — The Oso Fit 5K Fun Run and Community Health Care is returning to Mission Viejo on Saturday, Feb. 24, and residents were encouraged to register early.
Kids who participate in this event will take part in a quarter and a half-mile race at the Norman P. Murray Center.
The inclusive course is suitable for children of all abilities, the city said. Kids will run or walk on a flat, safe loop, and receive a medal provided by the city.

According to the city, kids who want music to listen to during the race can listen to a playlist for kids compiled by the Library and Cultural Arts Committee and available on Freegal Music.
A library card and pin number is needed to login to Freegal music. Residents in need of a library card can apply online or in person at the library’s Circulation Desk.

There is also a playlist for adults available here.
Residents who pre-register their child until Feb. 16 will have 100 percent of their pre-registration fee go toward the nonprofit of their choice.
The fee for the race is $5 and will increase to $7 after 7 p.m. on Feb. 16.
Online registration for the race closes at 8 p.m. on Feb. 21.
The Oso Fit 5K Fun Run starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Norman P. Murray Center, 24932 Veterans Way. The Community Health Fair opens at 7:30 a.m. and is free to attend.
