Kindness Realized With La Paz Middle School Donations
La Paz Middle School collected for El Toro High School's Exchange/KindNest Foundation that benefits students with a free clothing exchange.
LAKE FOREST, CA — This is what community is built upon. The La Paz Middle School of Mission Viejo's ASB Director, Ms. Wendy Baird, and her ASB students hosted a recent clothing drive in support of the El Toro High School Exchange Club/KindNest Foundation.
The students collected over 90 bags of clothing, shoes and accessories that will be distributed during an upcoming free shopping event for the students of El Toro High School, according to the El Toro Exchange Club/KindNest Foundation advisor, Morgan Fundingsland. The generosity and hard work that was put forth by the La Paz ASB students and Ms. Baird had the club members amazed.
“I have never seen such generosity come from one organization," Dani Azua, El Toro Exchange President said. "I cannot believe all the hard work that went into collecting all of this. La Paz Intermediate rocks!”

The clothing drive was scheduled after a conversation Wendy Baird had with club advisor Morgan Fundingsland at El Toro High School. One week of collections was all it took to accumulate 90 bags of clothes and items.
Baird had read about the great work the club had done for the community and knew that her ASB students would want to help. The La Paz ASB students created an attention-getting flyer that they posted throughout the entire La Paz Intermediate School campus and collected donations for a full week. Once all of the bags where gathered, they were transported to El Toro High School where they will be prepared for the next free shopping event.

“What an amazing effort on behalf of La Paz. We are overwhelmed by the support that their families showed for us and thank them all. We are truly awe-struck by them. SVUSD is a community that not only puts students first but also supports one another like a close supportive organization should,” said Morgan Fundingsland.
Such dedication and hard work from a group of amazing youth is so appreciated. Their efforts will also impact others beyond the ETHS campus, as un-selected items are re-donated to a number of local charities. Benefactors include children’s charities and Veteran’s groups.
Donations of new and gently used items can be dropped off during school hours at the El Toro High School front office. For more information or to find out how you can start a club chapter at your school, please contact us at ethexchange@yahoo.com.
