MISSION VIEJO, CA — Calling all high school seniors living in Mission Viejo: The city's Activities Committee is accepting applications for its annual Volunteerism Scholarship Program, and here's what you need to know.

The city is offering up to five $1,000 scholarships that will be awarded to high school seniors who show "exceptional character" and a dedication to volunteering.

Applications must be submitted by March 15 in a sealed envelope addressed to: Mission Viejo Activities Committee, Volunteerism Scholarship Opportunity, 24932 Veterans Way, Mission Viejo, CA 92692.
