MISSION VIEJO, CA — Residents on the hunt for a special animal-related event can mark their calendars for Jan. 28, as the City of Mission Viejo gears up for its Petting Zootastic event.

At the event, residents can meet a variety of animals — including a special guest from "Paw Patrol" — learn about pet adoptions, participate in crafts and more.

The Petting Zootastic event takes place Saturday, Jan. 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Oso Creek Trail, in the Celebration Garden near the Potocki Trailhead bridge.
