4. Trailblazing, long-serving L.A. County Fire Department K9 dies (dailydispatch.com) — Montecito residents may remember K9 Pierre’s vital role in the 2018 mudslide search-and-rescue efforts, when he deployed from Los Angeles County to help in our community’s darkest days.
