Third Friday Contra Dance !
This month Les Amis (Mark Burill, Ned Boyer, Belinda Thom, Jim Cope and Marie Bruno) will be playing a mix of French Canadian and Old Time music.. Ginger Alberti will be calling (and teaching) the dances.If you are new to contra dance, check out www.CalDanceCoop.org.. the dances are similar to Square Dancing, prompted by a caller. Easy to pick up for first time dancers (no previous classes or experience needed), no partner is needed to come to the dance.. lots of friendly people when you get there! Wear comfortable shoes (or bring an extra pair).
Arrive at 7:00 and you can enjoy a light dinner with admission.
Dance is 8:00 to 11:00, with a refreshment break in the middle.
