Crescenta Valley Senior Helps Team Soar to Title Victory

Since the 96-97 season, the Crescenta Valley High School girls waterpolo team had made numerous post season appearances, but that title elluded them ... that is until this year.

One of the players who stepped up on the big stage to ensure that victory was Gabriel Isacson, senior goalkeeper.

Although first-year coach Brent Dana knew that, other made sure he never fogot.

“She definitely grabbed everyone’s attention. My coach from El Toro came up to me after the game and said, ‘You owe your goalie a steak dinner.’”

Isacson finished the game with 16 saves, giving her team a 10-5 victory against Riverside Poly and was recognized as All-CIF Southern Section Division V Player of the Year.
