Do You Support Drayman?

Former city councilman John Drayman has been credited with protecting the hometown atmosphere of the Montrose Shopping Park.  He orchestrated the Sunday Harvest Market and made it possible to re-landscape and install new street lamps on Honolulu Ave., among other things.

He grew up in Montrose and La Crescenta and kept the interests of his neighborhood in mind while serving on the city council.

But over the past couple of months, Drayman has been making headlines for other reasons. He has been , is for embezzlement--accusations that were . A near , and the city has demanded an investigation of his condo.

Opinions of Drayman are varied. In an op-ed for the Crescenta Valley Weekly, Mike Lawler recently said, "I’m not a person of faith, yet I have had to summon a lot of that just that to continue to support John Drayman. ... I still believe that the charges are trumped up and that nothing will come of them."
