Duo Arrested in 7-Eleven Incidents Released on Bail

Robert Valantine and Bryan Sawicki were arrested on Friday night, though no charges have been filed.

Glendale Police responded Friday Dec. 10 to 911 calls that two individuals were "acting crazy" in the parking lot at 2759 Montrose Ave., and two men were arrested in connection with the calls, police say.

Robert Valantine, 25, and Bryan Sawicki, 27, were arrested on suspicion of a number of charges, following reports that two youths were seen driving recklessly, challenging people to fight and yelling and screaming that they were going to kill people, said Officer Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department.

Police say that when they arrived on the scene, the youths drove away in their vehicle. A chase ensued, and after a few turns police were able to get their vehicle to stop, Lorenz said.

Police say that a suspect identified as Valantine acted "crazy," that he allegedly leapt out of the car and did not obey orders to put his hands up or walk back to police, Lorenz said. "It took a period of time for him to comply," said Lorenz.

When officers detained Valantine and put him in the police car, he allegedly kicked out the car's back window, police say.

Sawicki and Valantine were released on Dec. 11 and no charges have been filed.
