Glendale Online School Students Help Elizabeth House
Students join families and teachers to collect food and cash donations to help homeless women and children.

Full-time online public school students with California Virtual Academy @ Los Angeles (CAVA), Insight Schools of California (ISCA), and iQ Academy California (iQCA) joined their teachers and families in front of Whole Foods Market in Glendale earlier this month to collect food and cash donations for homeless parents and kids. Nearly four grocery carts full of food were collected to benefit Pasadena-based not-for-profit Elizabeth House.
According to www.feedingamerica.org, one in six people struggle with hunger in the U.S. In California, more than six million people struggle with food insecurity.
I am grateful to the entire Glendale community for its support of this drive. I am so proud of how students and families collaborated with everyone who donated throughout the day. This event is another example how our students regularly meet, collaborate and give back to their communities.
