Joey Hollingsworth, at 82, was honored by the Ontario Black History Society for his accomplishments with its first lifetime achievement award. Joey, who started tap-dancing at 3, turned professional at age 5 and has been dancing ever since. He graced Canadian TV shows for decades, and in the US performed on such popular shows as “The Ed Sullivan Show,” the “Wayne and Shuster Show,” “The Tennessee Ernie Ford Show” and “Mister Rogers' Neighborhood,” to name but a few. This, in addition to live shows and musical theatre. Inducted into the Jack Richardson Music Hall Of Fame in 2017, Joey’s performance at the London Music Hall that night concluded with his signature spin move, which was as brilliant as ever.
