Here's what's happening in and around Moorpark at-a-glance.
- From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will host a fundraiser for Emma Jewel, a 5-year-old girl who was born with a rare genetic disorder called Phelan McDermid Syndrome. There will be a car wash and raffle, plus 15 prcent of all food sold and salon services will go to help support Emma. Bella Grace is at 325 E. High St. and Carli's is next door at 313 E High St.
- Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District hosts Wanted, a Bon Jovi tribute band, at its free music in the park concert, which takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley.
- Saturday and Sunday are black cat appreciation days at the Camarillo Animal Shelter. The shelter has a number of black cats for adoption and if you adopt one during the event, you can adopt it for $60, which includes spay or neutering, shots, a microchip and a special catnip treat.The shelter is at 600 Aviation Drive, Camarillo.
- The lowest cost of gas in Moorpark, according to GasBuddy.com, is holding at $4.03 per gallon. Find it at the 76 station at 12800 Princeton Ave.
